Terms of Service

Last updated: August 30, 2026

illari is a hosted monitoring service for scheduled and batch jobs, operated by an individual (a sole proprietor). By creating an account or using illari you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

The service

illari watches scheduled jobs. You create monitors; your jobs send HTTP requests (“pings”) to a per-monitor URL; illari alerts you — by email, and on Pro through additional channels — when a ping is missed, late, or reports a failure. Detection runs on a roughly one-minute cycle. illari is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis with no uptime guarantee or SLA. Current operational status is at illari.dev/status.

Accounts

  • One account per person, created through our authentication provider (Clerk) with an email address or GitHub sign-in. You're responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your login secure.
  • Each monitor has a secret ping key that is both its identifier and its credential. Keep it out of public repositories and logs; you can regenerate it at any time.
  • You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent where you live, to use illari.

Acceptable use

Don't:

  • use ping URLs or webhooks to attack, flood, or probe systems you don't control;
  • send unlawful content in captured request bodies, monitor names, or other fields;
  • attempt to break, overload, or gain unauthorized access to illari or its infrastructure;
  • resell illari as your own service without permission.

A per-monitor rate limit (currently 60 pings per minute) applies as a flood guard. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or put the service at risk.

Plans, billing and cancellation

  • Free — 25 monitors, 14-day check-in history, email alerts. No charge.
  • Pro — US$20/month or US$204/year, adding alert channels, structured run-data views, failure and slow-run alerts, higher limits, and 90-day history. “Unlimited” monitors are subject to a fair-use ceiling (currently 500).
  • Payments are processed by Stripe, which acts as merchant of record for Pro subscriptions and handles applicable sales tax and VAT. Card details are entered with Stripe and never reach illari.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically each period until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from the billing page (Stripe Customer Portal); access continues until the end of the paid period. We don't provide pro-rated refunds for partial periods except where required by law.
  • We may change prices or plan features with notice by email or on the site; changes take effect at your next renewal.

Your content and data

You keep ownership of your monitor configuration and the data your jobs send. You grant us permission to store and process it to operate the service — see the Privacy Policy. We may delete data according to the retention window for your plan, and we delete all account data when you delete your account.

Service changes and termination

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of illari. We'll give reasonable notice of a material adverse change or a shutdown where practical. You can stop using illari and delete your account at any time from Settings.

Disclaimers and liability

illari is a secondary safety net, not a substitute for your own job's error handling. We don't warrant that alerts will always be delivered, or delivered on time. To the maximum extent permitted by law, illari and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for losses arising from missed or delayed alerts, and total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid illari in the 12 months before the claim or US$50.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and the courts located there have exclusive jurisdiction — except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any competent court.

Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll post the new version here and update the date above. Changes take effect when posted; continuing to use illari after that means you accept them.
